2017 Spring Workshop & Open House

On March 4th, CLTA-WA hosted a successful 2017 Spring Workshop & Open House.

Shunmei Zhu and Min Wang Laoshi from Naselle Grays River Valley School demonstrated how they used differentiated strategies in whole group mini lesson and small group instruction settings to teach reading and grammar based on student levels and individual needs. Ching-Hsien Shu Laoshi from Cleveland High School also gave a wonderful presentation that focused on the principles and execution of TPRS. She demonstrated her strategies by leading a TPRS session on a chosen topic that follows the steps and command unique to TPRS. CLTA-WA’s advisor, Lotus Perry Laoshi, not only helped with hosting, but presented the history, techniques, almost everything teachers should know about the tea culture.

Thank you very much to our presenters for their generous sharing of expertise and experience. We were also grateful to our participants for their coming and learning together.

See you next time!
